"I was a little disappointed by the hotel's exterior, but the interior was clean and remodeled, so I was very satisfied.
It was quiet for the first time in a while, so I felt like I slept well.
The locals' children who work there are so cute.
I think I'll come back again when I go to Thailand and come back to Vientiane."
"15-20 minutes walk from the bus terminal
The hotel seemed quite old.
However, amenities were provided and the beds and towels were clean.
There was a convenience store nearby, and the food stalls and night market were within walking distance.
The fruit shop on the same street was great."

"Moved from continental plaza to Ji hotel for our last night in Vientiane. The hotel is especially for Chinese tourist… it’s good and not good… based in old Chinatown, the hotel is on the 6st floor of a building. Inside it’s very nice, quite new, and service was nice. Then come the morning and the included breakfast… only Chinese food combination… not really choices… no coffee, no orange juice or else, only a cup of milk… some porridges and Chinese rice rolls or buns and eggs, these kind of combination… not attractive at all… to eat the breakfast you have to go to 1st floor and walk outside to a partnered restaurant who will serve you a choice of 5 Chinese combinations food. Workers of the hotel are nice but don’t speak English only Chinese… have a rooftop swimming pool and a gym but exposed to sunshine so it was too hot to swim or to gym 🤭."
"This hotel looks really nice and quite new. So I was really pleasantly surprised in the beginning.
However, when interacting with the reception, they do not care to help you and unaware of simple tourist questions. When checking in, they don't want to accept credit cards to put a hold for incidentals, so I had to give 30 USD. I only have $100, they don't have change to give me, so they took the full 100.
My throat was hurting/sick, so I wanted to have honey with my tea at night. I ask the reception for some honey, he told me the restaurant on the 2nd floor is closed and told me to go to the roof top bar to see if they have some.
I also want to do alms giving to the monk at the nearby temple, they were so unaware about what time the monks do their daily routine even though the monks walk past the hotel everyday.
For such a nice hotel, the service is equivalent of a cheap motel."
"We had a very pleasant stay, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals we had at the hotel were excellent. Also the location is great, close to the Mekong River (safe to walk or run along the river) and the Night Market."
"Excellent accommodation, professional staff and team with great customer service satisfaction. Management responsive and ensures everything was taken care of and beyond my needs. I would definitely recommend to all travellers and myself be coming back for all future visits."
"Nice hotel, very charming. Like an oasis of lush green in the city. The staff were very friendly and competent. Location is not central, but as we like walking and exploring, this hotel was perfect about a 30 minute walk to most places sometimes less. In any case it is only a very short taxi ride to anywhere. Breakfast was good. No complaints about the hotel and if we come to Vientiane again, we would definitely stay here again."
"The environment is great. It's a pleasure to stay in the hotel without going out. The service is very good. The rooms are large and fully equipped. It's a great hotel in Vientiane and worth recommending."

Outstanding
GGuest UserIt’s a great bang for your buck this hotel is! Communication is a breeze, and the free airport pickup and transfer to the railway station are just fantastic perks. I messaged them for a pickup as I landed super early, around 7:30 am, and guess what? The driver was already there waiting for me. Talk about service!
The room was spotless and really cozy—I slept like a baby during my stay. Since the hotel is pretty new, they’re still getting things up and running. For example, the free breakfast ran out quickly because of a big tour group. But no worries, Manager Chan was on it! He quickly whipped up some dumplings for the individual guests like me. How awesome is that?
The front desk staff might struggle a bit with English or Chinese, but they’re super eager to help. Google Translate can be a lifesaver here. The driver, on the other hand, speaks fluent Chinese. He even offered his WeChat, so you can chat with him in Mandarin easily.
One of my favorite spots was the lobby. Manager Chen often makes tea for himself and invites guests to join in. He’s so friendly and generous with his time. I learned so much about Laos and its culture just by chatting with him.
The only downside is that the hotel is a bit out of the city center and since it’s new, Google Maps isn’t quite up to date. This can make it a bit tricky for ride-hailing apps to find the place.
A few little extras like a hair dryer, a city map, and some tour information would be great additions for travelers. But overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay!

ゲゲッツーロボVery nice hotel. A small swimming pool, nice room, but above all VERY friendly and nice staff! Never met such a good hotel staff! The people are just so nice and friendly! Only thing to be desired is that there are too many mosquitoes here, I got bit 10 times. Note: it's 40~70 US dollars at the spot so sometimes it's cheaper than online.
MMichaelWhen we booked this hotel, we were excited by the pictures shown online. The reality is a little bit different. The lobby looks nice and you can tell it was probably a really nice hotel when it was first built… but there are so many issues in the room, mainly from poor construction / materials used. The biggest downside was the view (see picture).
GGuest UserI arrived Vientiane by train. There were two buses picking up passengers opposite the front of the station. One was a minibus going to the night market (30k kips) and the other was a public bus going to Vientiane Central Bus Station (25k kips). The minbus going to the night market was full so I took the one going to the Central Bus Station. On checking Google maps, the one going to the night market is the correct transportation to take.
It was close to 9pm when I arrived at the bus station. Note that the reception closes at 10pm. I took a tuk tuk at 50k kips (bargained from 100 kips). The fare was 30k kips when I took a car from the hostel back to the Bus Station to catch Bus 12 to Vientiane (Khamsavath) train station. Do note that this is a different train station from the station I'd arrived from. That station is used by the Laos-China train, while Khamsavath station is used by the Laos-Thai train.
The above described the location of the hostel in relation to the train stations and Central Bus Station.
As for the 3rd floor room (was it 2nd?? well, it was at the highest floor) that I was assigned, there is space enough for 6 beds (3 double deckers). My beddings were spotlessly clean. The aircon worked perfectly. The staff who had checked me in helped with my luggage, which was much appreciated. He pointed out to me the facilities too.
The bathroom cubicles and toilets are on the ground floor. They are clean. The bathroom cubicle i had used were without showergel/soap or shampoo. I did not check the other cubicles.
The common area is behind the reception on the groundfloor. It is air-conditioned and has comfortable seats. There is a water dispenser which dispenses cold water. Again, much appreciated.
In a folder on a desk opposite the reception desk contains information on transportation, fares and public bus schedules. Most useful!
The owner (i assumed he is) had kindly helped me call a car to the central station. He went out in the heat to look out for the car and bode me farewell. It is personal touches like this that warms the heart.
Yes, it is a hostel I would recommend. The 2 attached pictures were information displayed on the walls of the common area which i found useful.
GGuest UserWe had a short but sweet stay at Riverside hotel. It’s in a great location, close to lots of restaurants and the night market, but not in the middle of the action so we had a good night’s sleep. It’s super clean and the bed is very very comfortable. We only stayed one night, but will happily come back! Would definitely recommend.

GGerasimburgI recently stayed at Vientiane BB Hostel and was very pleased with my experience. This is an ideal option for travelers looking for an affordable yet cozy and comfortable hostel in the heart of Laos' capital.
Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff. I was greeted with a smile at the reception, quickly checked in, and shown all the necessary facilities. The staff speaks English, which is very convenient for international guests, and they are always ready to help with any questions, whether it’s advice on tours or assistance with transportation.
I stayed in a Deluxe room by myself, and I can say it was an excellent choice. The room was clean, spacious, and very cozy. The bed was comfortable, with fresh linens. The room had air conditioning, which is essential in a hot climate, and a small but convenient bathroom.
The hostel's breakfasts were also a highlight. Each day, you can choose between an omelet, fried eggs, and two toasts. Everything is served fresh and hot, making it a great way to start the day. Additionally, coffee and tea are available for free at any time of the day, which adds an extra level of comfort for guests.
The hostel also has a great common area where you can relax, use the stable Wi-Fi, or chat with other guests. The atmosphere is calm and friendly, creating a sense of warmth and hospitality.
Another major advantage is the hostel's location. It’s in the city center, within walking distance of Vientiane's main attractions, such as Patuxai and the Mekong River promenade. This made it easy for me to explore the city and its surroundings without needing transportation.
Overall, Vientiane BB Hostel offers an excellent combination of price and quality. This place is perfect for those looking for comfortable accommodation with great amenities at an affordable price. I definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who values comfort and coziness while traveling.

II live to travelStayed here for 1 night. As a Muslim, the availability of Halal food is utmost important in all my travels. I was pleasantly surprised that the mall next to the hotel had Halal food sold at Chester’s. And even more surprised that the hotel breakfast buffet had Halal meats (not all but the chicken’s Halal). Do ask the staff if unsure but the word Halal is displayed on the wall at the buffet. Overall very happy with choice of hotel and will definitely stay there again.
LlaosnewhorizonsI recently stayed at the Central Vientiane Hotel and had a great experience overall. The hotel is well-located, making it easy to explore the city’s attractions, and it offers a comfortable and relaxing stay. Here’s a breakdown of my experience:
Room:
I booked a large room, and it did not disappoint. The space was spacious, clean, and well-designed, with good furnishings and a comfortable atmosphere. The bed was good, and room quiet ensuring a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. The room also had a safe, which was a great addition for storing valuables, giving me peace of mind during my stay.
Bathroom:
The bathroom was good for me. It was big, clean, and well-equipped with toiletries. The shower had hot water be careful and the overall design felt nice. It was a refreshing space to unwind after a busy day.
Breakfast:
The breakfast offered a good range of options to suit different tastes. There was a mix of local Lao dishes and international favorites, including fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, and cereals. The quality of the food was very good, and the dining area was pleasant and well-maintained. It was a great way to start the day.
Staff:
The staff at Central Vientiane Hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. From check-in to check-out, they were always ready to assist with a smile. Whether I needed recommendations for local restaurants or help with arranging transportation, they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and hassle-free.
Overall Experience:
My stay at Central Vientiane Hotel was enjoyable. The combination of a large, comfortable room, a big and clean bathroom, a varied breakfast, and the attentive staff made it a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vientiane, whether for business or leisure. It offers great value for money, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

GGuest UserGenerally speaking, it's ok. Any problems can be corrected in time. But on the first day of check-in, I asked the front desk guy to simply clean the room, but he didn't give me water or take out the garbage. Later, I asked their waiter to go in the next day, and he was so sick that he vomited. The garbage was sour. Don't ask for too much. Hotels are basically like this. Is the food ok?
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The buffet breakfast was impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. The location is very convenient, making it easy to explore the city and access nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always making me feel welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a day of sightseeing. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely consider returning!
